Next Generation STEM Club
The Next Generation STEM Club is NW Community Centers' free STEM program for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.
From February 6 to October 2, 2027, up to 40 students will meet for 32 three-hour classes, about one a week, in three groups by grade (K‑1, 2-5 and 6-8). Six instructors teach Arduino programming for robotics, which builds computer science, technology and engineering skills; coding in Scratch; and arithmetic on the abacus. Twenty students took part in 2026, and parents who could not get a place for their children were disappointed, so the club is growing for 2027.
